Details
What a treat to enjoy a bottle of Bordeaux from the critically acclaimed 2015 vintage. Chateau la Cardonne is now in its optimum drinking window. This is a wine made for food, particularly robust and flavoursome red meat dishes.
This is a wine filled with ‘toasty oak spice, dark plum and smoky vanilla aromas. Elegant and juicy on the palate with layers of dark ripe cherries, blackberry, underbrush, spiced plum, sweet dried tobacco leaf long and smoky on the palate‘. Natalie MacLean
Established in the 18th century with references dating back as far as 1769, Château La Cardonne received its Cru Bourgeois classification by the Chamber of Commerce of Bordeaux in 1932. Having changed ownership a number of times including over 17 years under the Baron Rothschild-Lafite stewardship, it is now owned by Guy Charloux. These are excellent value for money wines.
